Tye David's artistic foundation stems from an impressive career in musical theatre, performing on cruise ships, at theme parks, and in productions worldwide. His passion for storytelling evolved during the pandemic when he began crafting original music. These intimate, home-studio sessions in Kansas City have culminated in the vibrant and emotionally rich, MAKING MOVES.

The album’s debut single, “troubled heart,” released in May, delves into the hope and healing that accompany new love. Meanwhile, the latest single, “superpowers,” closes the narrative arc, capturing the resilience and opportunities born from love lost. Both tracks showcase Tye David's knack for fusing heartfelt lyrics with irresistible grooves.
