Jords ft: RV, Oxi & Sachellys - The Real Survive (Official Video)

Croydon wordsmith Jords kicks off his 2025 with seething new single ‘The Real Survive’ featuring RV, Oxi and Sachellys. The single will appear on Jords’ upcoming project Mixtape J, set to release later in the year on TLD Records.

The brooding atmosphere on ‘The Real Survive’ sets the perfect tone for Jords’ fervent storytelling, as he details the necessity for authenticity and loyalty when navigating life’s hardships, declaring “When it’s war you always back your guy. The real survive.” Tottenham rapper Rv laces the track with a charismatic verse brimming with first person accounts of struggle and success, while the earworm hook delivered by upcoming artist Oxi sits sweetly amidst the track’s growling bassline and thumping drums. Bringing an international perspective to the record, Colombian artist Sachellys closes out the track singing in Spanish on the song’s hypnotic outro.

The accompanying music video, directed by Pierre Jermaine brings to life the themes explored in the track, as all artists deliver emphatic performances against the backdrop of the capital city’s brutalist architecture.

Speaking on the forthcoming Mixtape J, Jords says, “Creating this mixtape has been about freedom of expression. Sharpening my tools, with some of my favourite artists, especially when it comes to rapping. I feel like I’ve got a lot of fire in my soul at the moment, dealing with some of the cold realities of getting older. This tape has been a good way to channel my rage.”
