Nao - Jupiter (Album)

Critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Nao unveils today her highly anticipated fourth studio album, ‘Jupiter’, a concept album centred around pure optimism, growth, and abundance. Featuring the powerful and poignant focus track '30 Something,' ‘Jupiter’ takes listeners on a transformative journey, wrapped in Nao’s signature ethereal vocals and genre-blending sound. '30 Something' is a coming-of-age anthem that reflects on the beauty of getting older, embracing the present, and letting go of the past - a theme that resonates deeply throughout the album.

“Jupiter is the sister album to Saturn. Where Saturn was about tough lessons and growth, Jupiter is about coming through the other side. It’s an album of hope, joy, and trust, of embracing expansion after struggle, of letting go and stepping into something greater.

This music is a reflection of that freedom, a soundtrack for the moment when you realise the universe was always working in your favour,” Nao shares.

‘Jupiter’ was recorded in collaboration with some of Nao’s longtime creative partners, including producers Loxe and Stint, whose musical chemistry with Nao has been refined over the past decade. Additional contributions from esteemed songwriters and musicians like Kareem James, Dyo, Soaky, Lauren Keen Dayyon, Nate Cypher, Carol Ades, Vince Kidd, Prgrssn, Grades, Scribz, Royce Wood Jr., and Toby Gadd helped shape the album’s rich sonic palette. Inspired by ‘Jupiter’s’ astrological significance - symbolising luck, joy, and expansion - Nao crafted a body of work designed to uplift, inspire, and bring a sense of warmth and optimism.

The visual elements surrounding ‘Jupiter’ have been beautifully crafted by frequent collaborator Lillie Eiger (Arlo Parks, Florence Welch), with creative direction from SpaceBroth, merging the album’s themes into a cohesive visual narrative.

To celebrate the release of ‘Jupiter’, Nao embarks on a 2025 UK, European, and North American tour, following her incredible performance at the MOBO Awards earlier this week. She’ll also be headlining at London’s iconic O2 Academy Brixton on March 12th. Known for her spellbinding live shows, this tour promises to bring ‘Jupiter’s’ themes to life in an unforgettable experience across the globe.

The album rollout began with a series of stunning singles, starting with the most recent release, ‘Light Years.’ The track is a mesmerizing blend of soaring melodies and immersive soundscapes, portraying love, devotion, and commitment. Nao describes it as, “If another lifetime and orbit collided, this song would be born.”

Another standout from the album is ‘Happy People,’ a vibrant and uplifting track that radiates joy and energy.  Merging seamlessly with ‘All of Me,’ a soulful slow jam that delves into love’s transformative power, these songs showcase the emotional depth and sonic diversity of ‘Jupiter’ through heartfelt lyrics and rich alt-R&B soundscapes.

The journey to ‘Jupiter’ began with two defining tracks, ‘Elevate’ and ‘Wildflowers.’ ‘Elevate’ is an electrifying blend of shimmering guitar riffs, an infectious rhythm, and a euphoric solo by Andy Vickery, produced by Stint. ‘Wildflowers,’ recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, captures themes of love, growth, and vulnerability with emotional depth and sweeping melodies. The anticipation surrounding ‘Jupiter’ built even more when Nao performed intimate, sold-out shows in Los Angeles, New York, London, and Amsterdam, all selling out within seconds.

With each release, Nao builds momentum for ‘Jupiter’, an album that promises to be her most transformative and heartfelt to date. This record is more than just music - it’s an experience, a sonic journey of joy, self-compassion, and boundless optimism. ‘Jupiter’ is here, and it’s set to leave a lasting mark!
