Limage - Nothing Special (EP)
In a world where everything is curated, calculated, and captioned for effect, Limage is cutting through the noise with raw honesty. Hailed by Galore Magazine as an “Artist To Watch in 2025”, the rising alt-R&B artist unveils her long-awaited debut EP ‘Nothing Special’, a striking meditation on love’s fleeting highs and inevitable unraveling. The 9-track project was crafted alongside Grammy-winning executive producer Los Hendrix (SZA, Brent Faiyaz, Giveon), marking his first full-scale artist development endeavor since his early work with Brent Faiyaz.
“‘Nothing Special’ is an exploration of the ache for connection – the kind that consumes you and feels like everything, only to fade into nothing,” Limage shares. “It’s about the illusions we hold onto, the stories we tell ourselves to make it real, and the quiet recognition that we’ve been here before.”
With an artistic vision as vivid as her name – “the Image”– Limage brings powerful narratives and deep emotions to life in every track. Her debut EP “Nothing Special” unfolds like a hazy, after-hours recollection – equal parts nostalgia, regret, and the sharp sting of self-awareness. Each track peels back the layers of intimacy and illusion, weaving a sonic narrative that oscillates between the seductive and the sorrowful.
With breakout singles like “Plug-In” (340K Spotify streams), “Float” (250K streams), and “Shallow Games” (205K streams), Limage proves she’s more than just a rising act – she’s a sonic architect, bending genres and expectations with a quiet, undeniable force.
Under the careful ear of Los Hendrix, ‘Nothing Special’ thrives in the spaces between alternative R&B, hip-hop, and pop. The production doesn’t just complement Limage’s storytelling – it deepens it, wrapping each confession in a sonic haze that lingers long after the final note fades.
Her music thrives in the liminal spaces – between connection and solitude, vulnerability and defiance, nostalgia and reinvention – where her moody introspection meets razor-sharp confidence. “Devious” kicks things off with a hypnotic pulse, a slow-burn dive into romantic delusion. “Plug-In” leans into the eerie duality of digital intimacy, its synth-heavy beats pulsing like a city at night while Limage’s vocals teeter between connection and detachment. Then comes “Spooky,” a left-field hip-hop cut dripping with confidence - more about claiming space than asking for it.
“Shallow Games” plays with the push-and-pull of fleeting attraction, its shimmering synths and understated percussion mirroring the cyclical nature of emotional detachment. Her artistry extends beyond sound – Limage’s visuals, aesthetics, and storytelling reflect an artist who understands the power of narrative. Inspired by her mother’s groundbreaking role in Haiti’s first all-female Konpa band, Riské, she’s reclaiming space in the alt-R&B and hip-hop scenes, crafting an identity that’s as layered and unflinching as her music.
Whether navigating digital detachment, confronting society’s discomfort with female confidence, or drawing listeners into the illusions of attraction, Limage’s music is an invitation. A challenge. A dare to feel deeply.
