Revived Promotions - Irish Hip Hop 4 Palestine (Album)
Revived Promotions was founded in 2018 in Dublin, Ireland by Daniel Vickers in hopes to highlight the local hip hop scene and bring over more international underground artists to Dublin. After bringing over Black Josh and Datkid for sold out headline shows with stacked local support line ups, the run was cut short when covid hit. After relocating to HCMC, Vietnam Revived began doing events again.
All of the Revived event's have a strong emphasis on showcasing locally based talent and connecting people through music and art. Some of the events were fundraisers for Palestine aid which were all great successes but they wanted to do more to help.
They came up with the idea of releasing a revived compilation album in aid of the Palestine conflict sometime after summer last year and began reaching out to some Irish artists on social media. The response was incredible and many of them donated unreleased tracks for the project for free!
All of the rappers on the album are Irish and more than half of the producers too. The artwork was done by an Irish artist also (@zuphioh on Instagram).
Over the space of a few months the compilation naturally became a reality and a finished project.
The album features over 20 artists across 16 tracks and is out now exclusively on Bandcamp. Some of Irish hip hop's most prolific underground rappers and producers are on it such as Beano, No Venom, Graham & Donkobz of Outstraight Records, Pat Rice, SD96 & Pager The Sloth of Workin' Class Records, Cbakl & Finnbarr of Class Craic Records, steady rising Dublin rapper Curtisy and lots more.
All proceeds from the sales of the project will be donated to Palestine Red Crescent who do a lot of great work on the ground in Gaza and all over Palestine by providing essential medical care, food distribution, educational workshops and much more.
