billy woods has shared new single, BLK ZMBY, produced by Steel Tipped Dove.  BLK ZMBY finds the rapper in top form, adroitly chronicling geopolitical concerns and nightmarish hallucinations over a beat suitable for a spaghetti western shootout.

BLK ZMBY follows earlier offering Misery, and both tracks are taken from forthcoming album, GOLLIWOG, out 9th May on Backwoodz Studioz.

GOLLIWOG features production and music from El-P, The Alchemist, Shabaka Hutchings, Kenny Segal, Conductor Williams, Preservation, DJ Haram, Ant (Atmosphere), LA-based experimental jazz trio Human Error Club, and others.  Meanwhile, woods is joined on the mic by Backwoodz label mates ELUCID and Cavalier, rappers Bruiser Wolf, Despot, al.divino, and singer-songwriter Yolanda Watson.

billy woods will be supporting GOLLIWOG with an extensive itinerary of live performances throughout 2025.

GOLLIWOG is billy woods’ first album in two years, following 2023’s Maps, his much-celebrated collaboration with producer Kenny Segal.  Later the same year, Armand Hammer — woods’ formidable duo project with ELUCID — released We Buy Diabetic Test Strips.
