Reuben Aziz ft: Backroad Gee - me & me (Single)
Southampton-born, London-based genre-blender Reuben Aziz kicks off his next chapter with “me & me”, a moody, magnetic single featuring the fiery presence of UK rap mainstay Backroad Gee.
Written during a time of personal isolation, “me & me” sees Reuben at his most honest—pairing raw lyricism with genre-defying production by nathan (known for Central Cee and Nemzzz’s “DILEMMA”). “The track always felt timeless to me,” Reuben shares. “Once Backroad jumped on it, I knew we had something that needed to be out in the world.”
At just 21, Reuben already moves like a veteran. Blending UK Rap and R&B with ease—think somewhere between Skepta and Ed Sheeran—he’s built a sound that resonates across moods and genres. From viral bedroom demos to sessions with heavy-hitters like Unknown T and Kairo Keys, Reuben’s drive is grounded in a deep love for music passed down from his dad—and honed through years of craft.
Following the success of his debut project “how did we end up here”, and co-signs from the likes of Stormzy, Corteiz’s Clint, and Jim Legxacy, Reuben isn’t just proving his place in the scene—he’s building a legacy. Recently tipped by Complex’s Ones to Watch 2025, “me & me” is a powerful statement of intent. One foot in the now, one eye on what’s next.
If “More Life” and Bossman Dlow had a UK-born cousin with something to say—it’d sound like this.
