When asked about “Belly” Glizz explained, "Beyond lyricism and wordplay, I want my music to make you feel something and “Belly” definitely does that. The song’s production is dark and almost spooky, but partnered with Bkay’s signature bounce it feels like a song that sits in its own lane. On the face of it “Belly” is me puffing my chest and talking my talk but scratch below the surface and it touches on the harsh realities of a lifestyle we’re all guilty of glamourising."
