Wordplay Magazine’s Style Pages Back With A Bang!

Throughout the past couple of years it’s been nearly impossible to organise an artist shoot, never mind a multi-brand, model and photographer fashion shoot on location. 2022 is a huge year for Wordplay as it marks 20 years of covering a scene we’ve witnessed go from fledging to full-flight; since 2002 we’ve spring-boarded artists, brands, photographers and journalists along the way with incredible success.

As such, we are looking for clothing and accessories brands – both household and independent in nature – to team up with, to make our return to style pages that much more engaging and fresh for our readership. We’re also looking to build sustained and encompassing advertising campaigns via our various platforms across print, digital and socials – in the lead up to and surpassing our magazine releases.

Given that Wordplay is a strong advocate for inclusivity and fairness, we are actively seeking to work with brands owned and run by underrepresented groups of people; we’d like to hear from everyone with a creative endeavour relating to the fashion/streetwear industry and in particular POC and LGBTQ+ individuals.

 
 

With Issue 22 In Mind…

We’re going bright and loud for our next issue; a multimedia extravaganza bathed in neon, blacklight and day-glo; a hyperreal visual end-of-level-boss-fight of sorts. Amping up the colour after what seems like a dull thud of two years passing and we want to carry the hi-octane attitude across to our models – unashamedly raucous and gleaming in hi-res! Our location (TBC) is hopefully one packed full of incandescent, flickering screens in aquamarine… The garms and accessories then are complimenting or contrasting, making K.O. combos along the way – above and below are moodboards illustrative of the direction we’re racing in.

Due to proof/print deadlines we want to build WORN for issue 22 as quickly as we possibly can but without skimping on quality, obviously.
