Darius - OASIS (Prelude) (EP)

Parisian house producer Darius shares his brand new 6-track EP ‘OASIS (PRELUDE)’ -  featuring collaborations with Wayne Snow, Benny Sings, Duñe, Amaria and Flwr Chlyd - via Roche Musique. The body of work is available to download and stream on all available platforms now.

The opening track ‘EQUILIBRIUM’ sees Darius return to his creative partnership with Berlin based future house explorer Wayne Snow, delivering an illuminating slice of dancefloor fare. Darius describes the track ‘as a new starting point in my project’, and like the EP as a whole, it represents a somewhat altered approach to his previous output. Next up is the recently released single ‘RISE’, a floaty, space-out affair featuring Stones Throw affiliate Benny Sings. The rest of the EP continues to take you on that journey, with energy packed contributions from the likes of Duñe, R&B singer Amaria, and Atlanta artist Flwr Chyld.

Across the entire EP there is a notable focus from Darius on bringing more warmth to his music, with extra groove injected into every instrument as he dips his toes into a more jazz / soul / r&b world with notable collabs from the rising artists Amaria and Flwr Chyld gaining recognition from the likes of Yussef Dayes and Full Crate. ‘A less obvious mix but more spontaneous’ is how Darius puts it. The result is a collection of music that feels light and fresh with visions of summer and innocence.
