Park Hill - 10 Questions + Broken Promises (Official Video)
Following on from ‘Early Morning’ featuring M Huncho, Park Hill is supplying his fans with a steady flow of new music with his new truly moving track “Broken Dreams”, which is based off his own personal experiences. Park Hill narrates the story of a couple facing relationship issues, with his lyrics and storytelling being played out through the visuals.
Born in the US but growing up in North West London, Park Hill did not have it easy, with his mother often behind bars. He was brought up mainly by his Grandmother and turned to music at a young age to get away from the chaos in his life.
Innovative melodies, often heard in ‘Trapwave’, paired with emotive storytelling help paint a vivid picture in the listener’s mind, which translates seamlessly via the accompanying visuals.
Park Hill sat down with Wordplay Magazine to answer our infamous 10 Questions:
1. So tell me, how did it all begin? What sparked your love for music?
It’s hard to pinpoint when I fell in love with music. My Mum would say from 6 weeks old, it had to be really young though because I remember before I moved to the UK, being like two years old and watching MTV Yo! Raps with my my mom and seeing a DJ on there had two turntables. I remember jumping up and getting 2 of my grandads vinyl, put it on the coffee table and started imitating him. It low key developed from there.
