Blue Lab Beats - We Will Rise (EP)

Blue Lab Beats releases the We Will Rise EP, the London duo’s first offering from Blue Note Records. The lead single, ‘Blow You Away (Delilah)’ featuring Ghetto Boy, is showcased in the new video shot in Jamestown, Accra, Ghana and directed by David Duncan for Crux Global Agency.

The five-track EP features celebrated UK artist Kojey Radical, Emmy award winning musician and saxophonist Braxton Cook, WizKid and Jaz Karis collaborator Alex Blake, and London-based producer DTsoul.

The vibes are strong on everything this pair - producer NK-OK and multi-instrumentalist Mr DM - cook up inside Blue Lab HQ, pulsing through a sound that blends boom-bap hip hop grooves and jazz-funk hooks and adding their newest trademark “Jafrobeat” sound (a mix of Afrobeat & Jazz). A supple, wide-ranging sound inspired by the pioneers of hip-hop and the music of the African diaspora; a sound that also tells of a past London, whilst also hinting at the future.
