Mengelmoes are a multi-genre band blending Pop, Funk, R&B and Neo-Soul to fuse a NeoPop sonic identity. Hailing from Norwich, UK, the band pull inspiration from a vast array of artists to offer a bit of something for all lovers of music.

Their newest single, ‘Voodoo (key to your heart)’, is a “Rick and Morty on steroids” kind of song… whacky. Written and produced by Mengelmoes’ keyboardist James, the song takes inspiration from ‘1612’ by Vulfpeck, ‘Down The Road’ by C2C and ‘The Heartburn Song’ by Lawrence. ‘Voodoo (key to your heart) is about trying to tell someone you like them without actually telling them, with a funky backbeat and feel. The song’s music video is shot in a one-shot style, taking inspiration from Coldplay’s ‘Yellow’.
