Nia Wyn ft: Kieron Boothe - Who Asked You (edbl Remix)

Following the release of her new single ‘What Did You Expect’, Welsh Soul artist Nia Wyn has collaborated with London-based hip hop, jazz and RnB influenced producer edbl and east London rapper Kieron Boothe for an exciting remix of Nia’s Who Asked You, as featured on FIFA 21’s soundtrack.

The remix is an uptempo hip hop offering with edbl’s production of jazz and funk-infused guitars and drum sampling bringing a new pace and sense of urgency to the track. Nia’s distinctive vocals and self-assured lyricism is complimented by the cool and calm wordplay of Kieron Boothe’s verse, which paints a picture of a hard-working artist striving for a better life. The artwork, courtesy of Kieron Boothe, illustrates the three artists in the club football shirts of their choice, paying homage to the original track’s popularity on FIFA 21 and in the wider football fan online community.

Of the track, Nia says: “I had wanted to work with both edbl and Kieron for ages, so it was a great opportunity to collaborate with them on this remix. I love the energy and genre-blending style that edbl’s production brought, and as soon as I heard Kieron’s feature I felt it really reflected the meaning of the original song’s message. This song will always have a special place in my heart as its inclusion in FIFA 21’ soundtrack was a dream for the gamer and football fan in me.”
