Jay Saint - Stripper Moves (Official Video)
NEW YORK, NY – Jay Saint, continuing his climb as an R&B singer-songwriter on the rise, transforms the toxic masculinity and sexual subjectivity of the strip club as we know it into a playground for queerness in the Hustlers-inspired visual for his latest single “Stripper Moves,”.
With the help of a videography team consisting of OneiPhotography and Cp Cinema, Saint transports viewers into the world of high-end escorting, but its men who are the subjects of desire in Jay Saint’s world, and the escorting ring’s non-binary ballroom boss, Mermaid, proves that there’s a place for feminity in an industry powered by men and money.
“I’ve always envied how strippers are resilient in getting what they need,” says Saint. “I locked in on the strippers that possess that energy of not just ‘clocking in,’ but grasping their opportunities, seizing the moment, and going after what they want. We all want more. What are we willing to do to get it?”
“Stripper Moves” is the first single and visual from Jay Saint’s upcoming EP JEM that will be released this Fall.
For Saint – a Black, gay artist – it’s intentional to showcase the multi-facets of what masculine queerness looks like; especially in R&B music.
Jay Saint has consistently delivered quality music and strong artistry. As reported by FLAUNT Magazine, “Singer-songwriter [Jay Saint] arrives on the scene with an unwavering love for music, ear for what’s hot, an impeccable pen game, and even better personality. From songwriting for the likes of Danity Kane, Fergie, and Sean Kingston, the rising star went from writing for Puff Daddy’s Bad Boy Records to now shifting his focus to his own artistry.”
