Speaking on the EP, Oska say’s: 22 years later is a Story through some of the trials and tribulations I have had to endure from a very young age. boiled down to 15 minutes & 38 seconds.

It’s a home brewed EP of demos I made in my bedroom alone. This EP is about my hopes & dreams reflecting upon my reality. Also it sonically represents feeling lost, inadequate, dysfunctional & lonely. These feelings we all battle from day to day.

My intention is for the listener to explore these songs alone in their own comfortable space with some headphones.

Oska Zaky sat down to answer our infamous 10 Questions:

1. So tell me, how did it all begin? What sparked your love for music?

I have been musically inspired since before I can remember. A defining moment  which kick started my artist project was when I was 14. I was standing on the side of the pyramid stage a Glastonbury festival 2014 watching one of the headliners and feeling that feeling you only get from performing live. The next day I used my self taught piano skills to teach myself guitar. I had had lessons in the past but they never stuck. A few weeks later my local collage had a recording summer experience for the day. My mother kindly surprised me with this opportunity. So the night before I wrote my first full song and recorded it at strode collage. This was amazing I realised this is what I wanted to do. Tell stories to people using my music.

2. Who are some artists that influence you and that you want to work with in the future?

I don't directly pull my influence from any particular artist but I listen to everything from Dancehall to BossaNova. I really enjoy immersing myself within new cultures and sounds.

3. What projects do you have coming up and can you give us any info on them?

I have many singles coming out after this release. I can’t wait for the world to hear my new refined sound. I am currently negotiating the next release. All I can say is there is a arsenal of music coming to DSP’s soon. I love everyone who has supported me up until this point and I cannot wait to deliver the rest of my music to the world.

4. How would you describe your sound?

Electro Alt Pop.

5. What's your proudest moment to date so far as an artist?

Playing Glastonbury 2017 and 2019.

6. Do you have any advice for our readers who may be trying to play the mad game of music?
