Celebrated multi-instrumentalist,  producer and composer Yussef Dayes today returns with a visual accompaniment to his most recent single “Rust”, featuring long standing collaborator and friend Tom Misch.

“Rust'' is the second single to be shared from Yussef Dayes debut solo album “Black Classical Music”,  and follows the release of the title track, a collaboration with Charlie Stacey and Venna, and its video, the perfect entry point into the expansive project.

Directed by Jack Brown, the “Rust” music video begins enveloped in digital sunshine, viewers traverse the beautifully animated natural biomes and psychedelic wonderlands through the track’s runtime. London based director, designer and animator Jack Brown specialises in hand-drawn 2D animation. His visually captivating aesthetic creates weird and wonderful worlds blurring the surreal with reality, yet always keeping the viewer glued to their screens. Jack has crafted music videos and visual content for notable artists such as The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, Tom Misch and Nines, Whether it’s futuristic factories or dreamy surreal surf scapes, his work has a strong sense of design, elements of pastiche and humour which showcases his versatile talent.

“It felt really special to work with Yussef and Tom again to make the third instalment of our animation saga and extra special to do it for Yussef's incredible debut album.

I wanted to expand the world of Nightrider and Tidal Wave by bringing it into a 3D space while maintaining the classic 2D feel.  This was made possible by the big brain, super talented Richard Noble who built these landscapes from my silly sketches.  Big love to the small crew of dedicated and talented people who worked on this and to Yussef and Tom for consistently making the best sounding music out there.

My only aspiration is that it lives up to the other two videos and will be turned into visuals on youtube for "chill music to smoke weed to." - Jack Brown (Director).
