KITSCHKRIEG ft: Nemzzz - Trenchezzz (Official Video)
Berlin electronic band KITSCHKRIEG enlist Manchester rapper Nemzzz for their new summer anthem ‘Trenchezzz’, taken from their forthcoming album, ‘German Engineering 1’, out on 28th July. The trio have been making waves in their home country, topping the charts and racking up a billion streams before their first two UK singles this year with ARZ and SwitchOTR.
They show no signs of slowing down, returning with their new club-ready release set to soundtrack the rest of 2023. On ‘Trenchezzz’, the group effortlessly combines the chorus's seductive vocals with ‘Nemzzz' hard-hitting and unapologetic bars creating the perfect meeting of minds and a song set to switch up the game.
Since meeting in 2014 through a flatshare, the trio of producers Fiji Kris, Fizzle, and the elusive photographer/ art director °awhodat° has redefined how Germany sounds, looks, and feels. They embody minimalism through their engineering, visuals, photography, and artwork and draw influences from their hometown's electronic music scene and Soundsystem culture. With more than a billion streams to their name, they are known for their sophisticated sonics, contrast-heavy black-and-white imagery, and popular streetwear brand. The band released their critically acclaimed debut album in 2020, which boasts two No.1, Platinum award-winning singles, ‘Standard’ and ‘Unterwegs’. Over the years, KITSCHKRIEG have worked with a huge range of artists, they are now kicking off a new chapter with ‘German Engineering 1’ which boosts an impressive array of talent from the UK and across the pond, including SL, Skillibeng, Nemzzz, Arz, Stefflon Don, Switch OTR, and Midas the Jagaban as well as US artists Anti Da Menace, Dusty Locane, 2Rare and Ken The Man.
Since his arrival on the scene, 19-year-old Nemzzz has been the one to look out for and has dropped a run of stand-out singles, including ‘Elevate’ and ‘2MS’, which racked up over 60M streams on Spotify. Dubbed “BBC 1xtra’s One To Watch”, Nemzzz followed this success with his debut EP, ‘NEMZZZ TYPE BEAT’, which left fans and critics in the UK (and beyond) agreeing that this versatile young rapper is here to stay. Nemzzz, who refers to himself as an introvert, is renowned for his experimental production, one-liners and energetic yet effortless flow, leading him to perform at both Wireless and Glastonbury festivals. Despite having no features on his EP, Nemzzz has still been tapped up for features by the likes of Knucks, Rimzee, and A1xJ1. His latest collaboration with KITSCHKRIEG on ‘Trenchezzz’ will undoubtedly create waves both in the UK and across the globe marking the final release from KITSCHKRIEG ahead of the highly anticipated album, ‘German Engineering 1’ dropping 28th July.
