Blue City CDF x Pitch 92 - The Summit (Single)

Are you ready for the ultimate collaboration between Welsh boom bap hip hop artists Blue City CDF from Cardiff and hip hop producer Pitch 92? The duo and the beatmaker have teamed up for their new single “The Summit”, which is the third and final single from their upcoming album “Paper Planes” fully produced by Pitch 92. The single is out now on independent UK Hip Hop label Bard Picasso Records.

Blue City CDF, composed of Jay Rede and Formal Brown, are known for their gritty but soulful, authentic style of rap, influenced by the likes of Wu-Tang Clan, Nas and A Tribe Called Quest. They have been making waves in the Welsh and UK hip hop scene with their previous releases, such as “Anamnesis", "Mind Map”, and “Into the Void”. They have also performed live at various venues across the UK, including esteemed festival, Boomtown Fair".

Pitch 92 is one of the most sought-after producers in the UK hip hop scene, having worked with artists such as The Four Owls, Coops, Verb T and Fliptrix. He is also a member of the High Focus Records roster, and has released several solo projects, such as “Lost In Space”, “3rd Culture” and “Intervals”. His production style is versatile and eclectic, ranging from boom bap to trap to jazz.

The Summit is a hard-hitting track that showcases the chemistry between Blue City CDF and Pitch 92. The rappers deliver sharp bars over a melodic beat, while Pitch 92 adds some soulful samples to spice up the track. The single is a taste of what to expect from their album Paper Planes, which is set to drop later this year.

Paper Planes will feature 10 tracks of pure hip hop fire, with guest appearances from Adelaide born, London based MC, Nelson Dialect, Upfront from Bristol based hip hop collective Split Prophets and a posse cut cypher track featuring BMellow, Joe Blow, Manlikevision, Truth and Oort Kuiper. The album showcases the diversity and talent of the UK hip hop scene, as well as the synergy between Blue City CDF and Pitch 92.
