Twyce - My Name’s Twyce (Freestyle Official Video)

South London rising rapper Twyce drops a new playful but lyrically packed freestyle, ‘My Name’s Twyce’, alongside a stylish black and white video directed by Benji Beacham.

Using his neighbourhood in the South as the backdrop, Twyce turns the grittiness of London into his muse and draws on the capital's harsh landscapes to create a masterpiece. Heading for one place only, the top, Twyce has created an undeniable buzz within the UK rap space following his recent singles, ‘Prouda You’ and ‘Of Course’. His combination of Garage meets Drill production alongside his penmanship, punchlines, wordplay, and flow attracts fans of all ages and positions him as the next young king.

Twyce was born in Nigeria, raised in South London, and discovered his love for music at 9. From the Nigerian radio waves playing Michael Jackson, Snoop Dogg, and Busta Rhymes to his introduction to UK artists like Giggs, JME, Skepta, and Devlin, Twyce's musical journey has been influenced by a diverse range of artists and styles. Despite his challenges growing up during secondary school, Twyce found solace in English classes, using what he learned to enhance his music. Recording music at the local youth club with friends, he saw music as an escape from the noise of inner-city London. Twyce has one simple mission: to make people feel happy within themselves. He is an artist who wants to make you feel proud of the person you are and encourages you to celebrate what makes you different.

After gaining attention from industry veterans and critics on CORD's 'UP NEXT' series, Twyce, now signed to Island Records, is going from strength to strength. The UK scene is at an all-time high, and Twyce has made an immediate impact by picking up co-signs from D Double, Clash, The Independent, Wonderland, Mixtape Madness, GRM and Reprezent, to name a few. Twyce has been working towards this since he was 9, and over the years, he’s built a fearless spirit and is ready to channel that through his music. His sound is melodic but gritty, and he is ready to be Rap's next success story.
