Kwaku Asante - The Real Thing (Single)

London singer-songwriter Kwaku Asante drops ‘The Real Thing’, the final single ahead of his forthcoming project ‘Blue Solstice Volume 2’ dropping 13th September.

Produced by multi-platinum producer Fred Cox (Pip Millet/Ragnboneman/Greentea Peng), ‘The Real Thing’ sees Kwaku at his most open and vulnerable, exploring the complexities of love and searching for that special one. Kwaku looks externally and internally for answers but is confident in knowing his worth and will only settle for “The Real Thing”.

Relatable for anyone on the quest for love, Kwaku’s new single showcases his intricate lyricism, sultry vocals and ability to turn his personal experiences into a musical masterpiece.  Speaking on the single Kwaku said: “The constant quest for something or someone that is right for me, not just in a romantic sense but also in a platonic sense aswell.

Speaking on things regarding paranoia which I don’t believe can co-exist with “The Real Thing”. I refuse to ignore what I and many other people deserve, a support system of people who care about you. I still acknowledge the current problem in our age to commit and the fear of opening up to someone.”

Last year Kwaku had notable highlights, including touring with Samm Henshaw and Pip Millet, which led to the singer performing in some of the most iconic venues nationwide. Following his acclaimed Wanderlust EP, Kwaku sold out his headline show at Village Underground, gaining support from Jamz Supernova, Soulection, Afropunk, Clash, Notion, Guap and COLORS along the way and proving why he is the most exciting and loved voices in the UK landscape.
