Sacred Geometry - 142,857 (Album) + 10 Questions
Sacred Geometry are Dagha + Mike P (FKA Anonymous). Both artists were part of legendary underground group Electric Company two decades ago, but have joined together again with new album 142,857 which has recently been released.
The record deals with sacred meanings to geographic shapes and creation of religious areas all done with Dagha and Mike Ps finesse and skill. With REKS, Moe Pope and Insight all appearing on the album and it is a brilliant album from start to finish.
Dagha took time out to answer our infamous 10 questions and it was a joy to connect with one the dopest ever Boston emcees.
1. So tell me, how did it all begin? What sparked your love for music?
My parents' record collection helped flavor my musical palette. My mother had the Motown classics and my dad had the soca and calypso joints. My dad was in a steel drum band and had drums in the house that he used to practice on. I would always join their float during the annual West Indian festival because they needed more cowbells. Hip Hop then hit me hard in the mid 80's.
2. Who are some artists that influence you and that you want to work with in the future?
Nas, Black Thought, Busta Rhymes, J Cole, Jay Electronica.
3. What projects do you have coming up and can you give us any info on them?
I formed a new group called Sacred Geometry with Mike P. Our new debut album, 142,857 releases on 8-8. I also have a children's album in the works that will most likely become a Blak Flowers II album.
4. How would you describe your sound?
Unapologetic, witty yet raw Hip Hop. Boom bap with an abstract pen. Organic eargasms/neurological spasms
Philosophical actions/beats, breaks and backspins.

Being recognised by President Obama for the youth work I've done within the community through poetry and self expression.
