Oladapo sat down with Wordplay Magazine to answer our infamous 10 Questions:

1. So tell me, how did it all begin? What sparked your love for music?

Honestly, I stumbled onto my love for it, at least for making my own. I had always been a music listener, I had always loved it as a consumer, I listened to a lot of Fela and Lagbaja growing up, some Pop, Fuji, RnB... you name it. But I never thought I’d be someone in the spotlight, making music myself.

2. Who are some artists that influence you and that you want to work with in the future?

I’d love to work with Wizkid, Ayra Starr, Brent Faiyaz, Q, Tems... I could go on and on.

3. What projects do you have coming up and can you give us any info on them?

Let’s just say I’ve dropped episode 1 in a limited series, watch out for parts 2, 3 and so on.

4. How would you describe your sound?

Sonically, it’s in a sweet spot, a sweet spot where all diverse music lovers can sit and have a chat. It’s intimate, it’s real and unapologetic. It’s me.

5. What's your proudest moment to date so far as an artist?

Performing my hit single ‘Proud’ to a crowd of screaming fans in faraway Uganda this new years as an independent artiste. I’m always grateful to God for that.

6. Do you have any advice for our readers who may be trying to play the mad game of music?

People who are trying to make music themselves.

I would say, be true to yourself, be ready to fail at it, be comfortable in the fact that people will laugh at you and see no value in you. It’s going to be fun when you prove them wrong.
