XAV - Reason (Official Video)

Marking his return after a two-year hiatus, Caribbean artist XAV is taking his listeners on a spiritual journey of deep fulfilment and self-discovery in his brand-new captivating single, “Reason”. Set to feature on his forthcoming EP, ‘Red Pills Only’, XAV is encouraging listeners to embrace raw authenticity by creating a safe space of vulnerability with his meaningful penmanship.

Welcomed with words of affirmation from XAV, “Reason”, produced by Atlanta-based beatsmith Chemist is a reminder to not let anyone define you. Underlined with a percussive production and angelic harmonies, listeners are encouraged to dig deep and find reason for things that have entered their life. Emphasising the idea behind duality and paradox, “Reason” feeds the soul for a lost generation over consuming technology and social media.

When asked about the inspiration behind the single, XAV explained, “There is a deep fulfilment in self discovery and doing ‘life’ your way. This song is a reminder to not let anyone define you. Dig deep and you’ll find the reason for almost anything that has ever entered your life. Dig deeper and you’ll realise that though it’s so significant; it’s also not. It's about duality, paradox and awareness.”
