Introducing, Doif. Newly signed to revered Norwegian tastemaker label Propeller Recordings, on new single "Red Heat Heaven" - out today - Doif explores destructive relationships, addiction and a desire for chaos through a maelstrom of playful R&B and unpredictable indie electronic soundscapes.

"Red Heat Heaven" arrives alongside a remarkable self-directed stop-motion, puppetry video - portraying a toxic couple who, inspired by the destructive tendencies of world leaders, believe that only in a dystopian world can they find true happiness. "Red Heat Heaven" is lifted from Doif's debut EP 'I'm All Ears' - out 15th November on Propeller Recordings.

An in-demand producer in Oslo and an ever-present member of Anna Of The North's band for the past six years, Doif (born Andreas Lanesjord) has quickly made a name for himself in Norway - with high praise for early live performances at CampØya, Trondheim Calling and Havstrøm festivals.

Inspired by the genre-defying sounds of Thundercat, Toro y Moi and Flying Lotus, Doif's music deftly straddles the line between progressive R&B, electronica and indie pop - delivered with an uncompromising energy and creative flair.

New single "Red Heat Heaven" paints a vivid picture of a world on the brink of destruction. A sonic journey filled with unexpected twists and turns throughout, the song was produced in collaboration with Bearson (Jimi Somewhere) and co-written with Mikhael Paskalev (Sløtface).

Speaking more on the release of new single "Red Heat Heaven," Doif explained: “The lyrics depict a couple sitting on opposite sides of the planet, each with the power over a large red button. Both are convinced that the other will press it first, but in the end, they decide to press it simultaneously. In a world where everything lies in ruins and the surface of the earth has been levelled, they finally stand face to face—alone, yet together.”

On the song's accompanying video, Doif continued to say: "The video is based on the song's theme: a toxic couple who want to watch the world burn. They believe that only in a dystopia can they find peace and return to each other—or at least, that's what they think. I love exploring contrasts, both in my music and visual art. The story starts in a childish, pleasant world but spirals into chaos, leading the couple to a point where they decide to wipe out humanity. This narrative is, of course, inspired by some of our most powerful world leaders, daring each other to be the first to push the button. My favourite part in the video is of course the guitar solo. If not one skeleton guitar solo is enough, make it two!"
