Wonderland's 'rising soulstress' Sadé Awele has announced her latest project titled 'Intuition.' Intuition, the single, is already making waves internationally, having reached number 9 on the Canadian online R&B radio charts. Having received acclaimed praise from AFAM with their ‘2020 Female Artist of the Year’ and CIBWE’s “Top 100 Black Women to Watch in 2023’, Sadé Awele returns in 2024 with her record ‘Intuition’ that shows an evolution of her sound, combining her Nigerian culture with a modern and catchy flow.
Fresh off her successful European tour to solidify her international fanbase, Sadé Awele is gearing up for her Canadian tour to celebrate the release of her 7-track project 'Intuition'. Discussing the project Sadé Awele explains the project “Intuition was written with the intention of creating a diasporic sound, influenced by my Nigerian upbringing combined with a mix of cultures and genres that have shaped my identity. Intuition tells a story of my journey to finding peace, finding myself, finding joy, feeling pain, and embracing the moments in-between.”
The Nigerian-born songstress is a captivating force in the realm of R&B and afro-soul. Her music draws deeply from her heritage, combining bold innovation with influences from legends like Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, Beyoncé, and Lauryn Hill. Sadé Awele's talents extend into the world of film, with her single and music video, "Intuition," gaining acclaim at esteemed film festivals, including the Atlanta Film Festival, Paris Short Film Festival, and Toronto Short Film Festival.
Sadé has shared stages with renowned artists like Grammy winner Christone "Kingfish" Ingram. She has also left her mark by performing the national anthem at the inaugural Black History Month hockey event organized by the NHL at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC, and the first-ever Monster Jam event at Rogers Place, Edmonton, Alberta.
