Long Beach native Vince Staples delivered a powerful performance at the Roundhouse on Tuesday night as part of his UK and European tour promoting his new album "Dark Times." The venue was shrouded in darkness with lights down low, possibly a nod to the album's title. A massive black and white Union Jack hung at the back of the stage, reminiscent of Stormzy's Banksy-designed bulletproof vest from Glastonbury 2019—an idea perhaps sparked during a Q&A session with Stormzy at London’s Ham Yard Theatre the day before. Staples, a musician, actor, and writer most recently known for his Netflix show "The Vince Staples Show," captivated the audience with his dynamic performance. UK rapper Sam Wise provided solid support, setting the stage for an unforgettable night.
