Entering 2025 with a renewed energy, D.C.-raised rapper GoldLink arrives with the kinetically charged new single ‘METATRON’. The track comes out via RBC Records/BMG. In the run up to the single, GoldLink has been teasing the release via a mysterious advertising campaign across Bristol and London.

METATRON’ carries the energy of a classic hip-hop-meets-dance-music track. The song’s bright sonic colour-palette immediately conjures the feeling of a good time, with its buoyant drums and warm bass creating the perfect backdrop for GoldLink’s slick verses. With the release of ‘METATRON’ and upcoming music, GoldLink hopes to bring listeners back to the essence of enjoying music in its purest form. Returning the focus to togetherness and dancing, it’s clear that forthcoming releases are meant to be played at full volume, in the club, the park, at home or anywhere there’s a good sound system and good people.

GoldLink has forged a unique path within the music industry since releasing his breakout mixtape The God Complex in 2014. Emerging as one of the most singular voices of his era, GoldLink accumulated an international fanbase through his innovative blending of hip-hop, house, r&b and broader electronic sounds - amalgamating them all into what he calls the “future bounce” sound. In 2015 he received the prestigious honour of being named as one of the XXL Freshman Class members of the year, speaking to his ground-breaking and genre-shaping influence in the scene. Since these early beginnings, GoldLink has released a continuous stream of critically acclaimed and commercially successful singles and projects, proving him to be not only an avant garde artist but also more than capable of crafting an international hit. Career highlights have included 2017 album release At What Cost which contained the instant classic, multi-platinum and GRAMMY-nominated single ‘Crew’ featuring Brent Faiyaz and Shy Glizzy, as well as ‘Herside Story’ featuring Hare Squead and ‘Some Girl featuring Steve Lacy. 2019 album Diaspora, saw GoldLink journeying beyond his D.C. roots, exploring the global influence of Black music, seamlessly weaving together sounds from the US, UK, Africa, the Caribbean and beyond. This globe spanning sound was exemplified by the formidable list of collaborators that joined him, including worldwide stars such as Khalid, Bibi Bourelly, Maleek Berry, Pusha T, Wizkid and more. Standout single ‘U Say’ featuring Tyler, The Creator and Jay Prince once again exhibited GoldLink’s talent for creating innovative, ear-worm filled hits that stand the test of time. Most recent LP HARAM! once again showcased GoldLink as a musician on the cutting edge of popular music, collaborating with the likes of PinkPantheress, NLE Choppa, Rich The Kid, Flo Milli, Santigold and more, weaving his razor sharp, hedonistic raps and melodic explorations through the album’s imaginative production.

As he begins the next phase of his career, ‘METATRON’ shows that GoldLink remains one of the most forward thinking rappers of his generation. Arriving just as temperatures begin to rise globally, ‘METATRON’ is a record made for dancefloors worldwide and will undoubtedly cause listeners to move their body as they take in GoldLink’s irresistibly unique sound.
