Returning 15 years, millions of records sold, a GRAMMY and Golden Globe nomination later, prolific rap icon Wiz Khalifa releases the follow up to his iconic 2010 breakout mixtape, in the form of new album Kush + Orange Juice 2. The album releases via Taylor Gang/BMG.

The new album (released just in time for 4/20) promises to bring back the nostalgic mixtape energy that Wiz’s fans love, 15 years later. Producers behind the original mixtape's iconic sound - CardoID Labs, and Sledgren return for Kush and Orange Juice 2 in addition to new producers Mike WiLL Made-ItJuicy JDJ QuikTM88Lex Luger and more.

Across the 23 track LP, fans are treated to a luxurious, mature-yet-carefree sound that evokes a sense of nostalgia, whilst simultaneously exhibiting the huge growth in musicality and perspective since Wiz’s early work. Lush instrumentation decorates the entire album, providing the perfect backdrop for Wiz’s laid back, motivational raps, with summery, G-funk inspired beats conjuring images of perfect weekends spent enjoying the finer things in life. Thanks to the album’s producers combining with Wiz’s vivid storytelling and effortless stoner charm, listeners are treated to a cinematic experience that offers a glimpse into Wiz’s aspirational lifestyle, whilst still containing personal elements that are easily relatable to listeners worldwide.

On Kush + Orange Juice 2Wiz is joined by a stellar cast of collaborators, ranging from hip-hop icons such as DJ Quik on ‘Take Your Time Get Paid’ or Juicy J on ‘My Influence’, as well as an appearance from long time collaborator Curren$y on ‘Jet Taylor’, go-to hitmaker Ty Dollar $ign on ‘Top Down’, and more contemporary voices such as Larry June on ‘Cashed Out’ and LaRussell on ‘I Might Be’.

Singles leading up to the album release: ‘5 Star’ ft. Gunna, ‘Hit It Once’, ‘Bring Your Lungs’ ft. Smoke DZA, ‘Hide It’ ft. Don Toliver and ‘Khalifa’s Home’ have all been received exceptionally well by old and new fans alike, with many lauding them to be some of the strongest additions into the rapper’s incredibly wide catalogue. In addition to these singles, Wiz has been releasing a series of freestyles on his social media, further steeping anticipation amongst his die hard fanbase.
