DVNZ, a powerhouse in the rap game, is back with another scorching release. Following the eardrum-appeasing success of Zo Way and 3B, he returns with Dreams. Seven months in the making, released March 25th 2025, Dreams incorporates elements of soul, R&B, and slower-tempo sounds, pushing beyond the boundaries of traditional rap; a dynamic new collaboration with producer Offbeats. Hailed by GRM Daily and us at Wordplay as one to watch, DVNZ continues his journey with this scorching new drop.
Blending razor-sharp snares, hard-hitting boom-bap, and drill-inspired elements, Dreams showcases DVNZ’s ability to craft immersive sonic landscapes. The result? A rich, high-energy project that bridges the gap between hip-hop purists and modern rap enthusiasts.
With his signature pen game and fluid rhyme schemes, this London-born rapper continues to captivate a rapidly growing fan base. His lyrical dexterity and fresh sound have sparked both admiration and envy across the scene. The EP draws inspiration from deep introspection, exploring the highs and lows of ambition.

10 quick-fire questions with Wordplay
You blend multiple genres in this EP—was that intentional from the start?
I wouldn’t say it was intentional, I listen to different genres of music so I’m influenced by a lot of sounds, so naturally that comes out in my work. The majority of the music I listen to on a day-to-day basis is of a slower tempo. I'm a fan of R&B, soul, jazz and alternative styles. My music is very honest and true to me, so what I listen to naturally comes out when I create.
Which track on the EP means the most to you and why?
I would have to say Still Dreaming. I feel it personifies this project. It’s a direct reflection of how I feel right now and almost gives a deeper insight into why the tape even came about. I feel like making the project was so seamless because I already got my point across on the first track.
How does this project compare to Zo Way and 3B?
I think the main comparison would be the feeling. The three projects sound quite different, but overall, they're similar. I feel like I’m trying to say the same thing in each project, but I’ve said it best on Dreams. There are a lot of parallels between the projects, whether that be love, pain or speaking about my experiences, but I feel like this is the most polished and pure version of the three.
If Dreams had to be summed up in three words, what would they be?
Love, patience and appreciation. I won’t explain why. I’d rather the project is listened to with those words in mind, and see if it feels or sounds different.
What’s the first album or song that made you fall in love with music?
The Marshall Mathers LP. I’m sure we’re all aware of Eminem’s lyrical ability, but the way he structures his albums is also something to respect. I’ve always enjoyed projects that take you on a journey; if you skip a song, it feels like you’ve missed something. That’s how I like to build my projects.
What’s one non-music-related hobby or passion that people might not know about you?
I’m a self-proclaimed astrophysicist, meaning I’ve watched way too many YouTube videos and now think I know what I’m talking about lol. But yeah, I’m into physics and science way more than I realised as a kid, to the point I wish I paid more attention in science class.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received about life or music?
Worrying won’t stop the bad from happening; it’ll just stop the good from being enjoyed.
How do you handle creative blocks or moments of self-doubt?
I rarely have creative blocks as I spend a lot of time just enjoying life. Whenever I have an idea, I plant the seed and sit with it for a few weeks. By the time it gets to the studio, I’ve got so many ways of approaching the original idea that it’s never really a struggle to get started. Self-doubt is always difficult for any artist, but I try to remember why I started. It’s always been about expressing myself, and I don’t feel there’s any wrong way to do that, as long as I’m not offending anyone.
What’s one dream or goal you’re still chasing outside of music?
To always try my best as a father and protector to my daughter.
Describe your perfect day—what does it look like from start to finish?
Wake up around 7:30, have a moment to think before rushing around, a nice breakfast, gym, a couple cheeky hours of PS5, lock in with my mum, daughter and close friends, get a few ideas down musically, and listen to a lot of music before attempting the impossible for me, getting an early night!
