As we’re heading into the season we occasionally get to see that yellow thing in the sky we felt it was high time to offer up some summery vibes, and this time they’re provided by the Norwegian based producer, DJ and collector Fredfades, who has teamed up with Jawn Rice to create Luv Neva Fades, a vibey EP which lends aspects of Soul, Jazz, Hip Hop, Techno and Deep House to create a melodic infusion that will immediately have you nodding your head and warming your soul! The duo are both on the Mutual Intentions label imprint, and finally, after knowing each other for over a decade have finally joined forces on a new sonic endeavour, serving as a follow up to 2019’s Jacuzzi Boyz.

Serving as a follow up to his dope dystopian debut album Lingua Franca, Dolenz returns with another slice of his dark and headnodding sound with the Golden Spike EP including a Sumgii remix of the track Golden Spike which are produ to be presenting today. The track features Jehst, who Dolenz enlisted to spit over his bubbling retro-futurist boom bap beat. Jehst’s lyrics eerily mirror the situation that we currently find ourselves in during the lockdown, as he raps about being stuck in a “no-fly zone” and the general public being content with “staring at the screen” whilst society falls apart before their eyes.

UK based producer Herma Puma offers up a poignant and timely track alongside Gregg Green entitled “Propaganda”. The Brooklyn based MC comments on societal pressures, a long line of racial prejudice to his family and beyond and the constant struggle for fairness, even this supposed evolved culture.
