RAPTUM - Polemics (Official Video)
Leyton-based rapper RAPTUM is back this September with the cold & potent new single “Polemics”, a stylish new single and the talented artists first release in two years. Spiralling in simple keys, flourishes of synth and hints of guitar, RAPTUM uses a minimal soundtrack to flow effortlessly, narrating the everyday frustrations he experiences.
“Polemics” shows considerable movement from his debut singles with a newly-fired-up flow that relies more on the content of his lyrics and the speed of his delivery than the surrounding soundtrack. It’s an icy but impressive turn for RAPTUM, who debuted in 2015 with the hip-hop beats of “New Jack Swing”, before dropping the cold, rhythmic UK rap anthem ‘The Plague’.
Showcasing a varied output, RAPTUM’s catalogue showcases different styles and sonic backgrounds for his unique flow. RAPTUM is taking his production and lyrical talent straight into the future. As always, the single will be self-released on his own Crud Groove, a label that shares its name with the self-coined genre the artist operates in.
