Jack Howard - Another Day (Single)

Starting the year strong with ‘Circles’, Jack Howard’s alternative vision has already received various industry support going into 2024, including notable acclaim from BBC Radio 1 Future Pop. Now, the artist returns with the intricately arranged new single ‘Another Day’.

Unveiling a delicate guitar backdrop as the track's opener, Jack brings a natural vocal performance to the music, fuelling the music with a joyous light through the clouds. As a captivating rhythm spreads across the drums, an irresistible movement cascades on the hazy ensemble. Melodic pockets begin to rise and fall around one another, whilst emerging synth tones form the foundation of a surrounding climax. As the track comes to its close, a sense of poignance is left across the ethereal landscape, capturing feelings of aspiration and faith.

Speaking on the track’s deeper meaning, Jack shares, “Another Day is about hope. This song is about someone I love overcoming addiction. When I was younger sometimes all I needed was hope that the sun would come up and a new day would begin. Even now I still wake up extra early so I can sit in the silence of day break. When I wrote this song I needed to be hopeful that it was all going to be okay. I hope this song gives you a little bit of me!”

Originally hailing from Portsmouth, Jack Howard is a unique talent, weaving a soulful vibrance into the raw energy of his music. Having now moved to London to pursue his artistic career, Jack has rapidly built a live reputation, selling out Prince Albert and Colours Hoxton, helping him to secure festival features at The Great Escape and Wild Paths and an invitation to play Sofar Sounds in Brighton.

Sonically, Jack’s music is a collection of dazed indie, alt-pop and soul, with his forthcoming debut EP, ‘All Things That Came Before’, set to bring a mesmerising and beautifully articulated reflection of his journey so far. His lyrics capture key introspective moments from his life, reflecting on the feelings of growing up, exploration of identity and masculinity, relationships, hardships and grief.
